And i have returned from the perils of the genting/kl trip of my unharmed and probably 2 kg heavier

Well, first complaint i guess would be the not so fantastic yet over priced food. Take this bak ku teh for example, cost be like $10 (sing) and yet theres like no pork ribs and i found like intestine and other parts of the pork in it instead.

Well, weather didnt play a good part in this trip too. Upon reaching there, it was pretty hot that we thought global warming was that bad. The next day, when we decided to come out and play, the rain came, and it was freezing instead. Nevertheless we still managed to get on some rides.

The merry go round that they sat for like 5 times?

The ever spinning tea cups and you thought it was a kids ride (actually it is but try spinning it continuously for like 3 mins)

"Sweet?"

"After"

"Before"

This is the ride that totally made the whole trip worth it. It goes all the way up before it jus drops. And fortunately it was real misty so when we were like 25m up? it was all mist and clouds, so it took away the scare for a lil while before the drop. And its terrifying, the feeling of your heart popping out, unforgettable, but fun.

"Before take off"

Shopping in KL wasnt fantastic too. Even though the shopping complexes were huge, jus look at this one, 1utama. There wasnt much to get. Some Great Malaysian Sale.

"This is only like 1/3 of the shopping complex"

"At least they had like A& W"

Anyway, thinking back, something really scary happened. A mysterious guy kept staring over when we were having A&W. When we left, he followed us! Literally STALK. In addition he had the psychopath look and all, so it was really intimidating. So having watched enough dramas we tried to shake him off. They went forward while i guarded the back. I was staring at him when i finally caught him sneaking up on us, immediately he turned around and headed into a shop, but guess wad, he headed into a restaurant and his hasty exit from there confirmed our suspicion. Well i thought i lost him when i saw him head down the escalator but apparently he didnt. So, Plan B. We took the escalator down, from the first floor, then the lift to the third floor, and finally the pest was gone.

Well, night shopping wasnt fantastic too, but we had a great finding in the ramily (Spellpo) man

"Great Pricing"

Definitely the best ramily i ever had. There was like so much ingrediants, mayo, veg plus all the secret sauces. Damn it was good.

Probably the best thing of the trips. Donuts. We bought like so many boxes, 7 to be exact, that the guy at the shop was like showing the " who on earth eats so many donuts" (homer simpsons does by the way)

And that was all for the trip. Upon returning, we had supper at Lavender food square. And i had like one of the better wontan mee at this stall. It may look ordinary but the noodles, its like perfect. And it comes with this special chilli (no idea hows the taste, not a fan of spicy stuff) A letdown however, lies in the wanton. Only 2 pathetic wantons and they were quite normal. But 4 stars!!

Finally, to conclude. Bangkok rules KL, so just head over to Bangkok if you're thinking of a trip

i mus first apologise for the poor picture quality which definitely does not do justice to the wonderful food. Think i better stop taking pictures with my 3 mega pixel phone and instead switch to an SLR.

Anyway, i'm heading to Malaysia from today till wednesday on my search for even better food. (neh, just going for a holiday) So till Thursday then.

Ok, I think I have learnt how to take up a close up of all the food that i forgotten to take a picture of the stall itself. DOH!
Anyway, this is the Hokkien Mee stall at Food Republic at Wisma.
In my opinion there are 2 types of Hokkien Mee. The wet kind and the dry kind, and this belongs to the wet kind. Theres also this slightly burnt taste which makes it rather nice. The stock they used is also sweet and taasteful. However, it still pales in comparasion to the one at chomp chomp. A lil overrated.
Its a minimum of $4 a plate
3 and a half stars for this one

Some of the weirdest things you will see on your way to the bus stop. Notice the 3 cats? They are like living their lives on the edge literally. I have no idea how they got there but they're like 4 levels above ground?

Ok, this is cute i guess? haha

Ok, went out with a little girl to celebrate her belated birthday last week. And we went to Sentosa! ok, for all those who have not taken this sky ride and the LUGE, you better make ur way there. Its really fun, going down at supersonic speed on our f1 wannabe cars. However their tagline is reali right "once is never enough" because their route is like so short, before you know it, you already at the foot of the hill.(or it could be due to our super fast race karts)
Anyway, main point is dinner.Jus look how happy she is or is she not?
Headed over to the soup restaurant at centrepoint. It had a beautiful decor i mus say. just look behind her.
ok, how can you not try the soup at the soup restaurant? The soup of the day was great. think it was some melon and pork ribs. Delightfully sweet and addictive, a great way to start off the meal.

Next up, Samsui Chicken, their Signboard dish. The very first time i saw it, i was thinking to myself, what an expensive plate of chicken rice chicken. But please dun be deceived by the looks of it. Its really good the chicken, especially the sauce in the center. yesssssh the sauce.. haha great great dish. A MUST TRY!

Next, is the begger's bowl tofu. Really smooth, and the sauce is really special. Loved the cute bowl

Desert had a long name. Ok, we had Double Boiled Pear with Snow Fungus and Almonds.

Can't they have a simpler name? But it was sweet and good, well maybe it had too much fungus, but nevertheless sweet and a good way to end off the meal

Service was excellent, the waitress was always refilling our cups and cleared the table efficiently. We even gave the waitress the good service card. Its always good to acknowledge good service. (or could it be due to the lack of customer at that point of time) =x

Pricing was affordable too. A meal for 2 or 3 cost like $50?

My first 5 stars goes to Soup Restaurant!

ok, today we have the Xiao Long Bao, which in English is "Xiao Long Bao" (imagine the chinese waiter saying it in an chinese slang) which he did actually, to our dear friends from down under. Anyway, yes, this is the xiao long bao that i swear by , even though mr tay claims that there are those at bukit i dunno where, but till i have them, the Ding Tai Feng's one will suffice. (Remember to put the whole thing in your mouth before taking a bite) this will only all the juice, to explode in your mouth. But but do so after letting it cool for bout 5 mins. =)

Anyway, do try their fried rice too. (This one is with the fried pork chop) the only one without the healthy food sign as my friend pointed out. But nevertheless, their fried rice is quite unique. The rice is definitely different from the common rice, its a big bigger and more bouncy so as to speak.

Yea, sadly though, the variety is superlimited and having eaten there like ten times, it's kinda get boring. But 4 stars nonetheless
