Sorry that it has been such a long time. had work, plus woman's birthday and all. but this time back with ratings and lots of pictures.

So this time its korean BBQ! at the new mall in Novena, Square 2. HanSang on the 4th floor i think.

Firstly, impressed that they used Charcoal for their bbq.

The Cool Machinery to i have no idea what it does

Ok, apparently the guy said that there were like standard side dishes that came with korean bbq and here they are. It included kimchi and stuff like raddish, ikan billis.

Korean ikan billis

We also did tried the one of special korean tea, yujia tea, which was pleasantly sweet.

Main dishes followed, US prime rib eye steak and marinated pork collarmeat.

"Iron Rice Bowl"

The beef was delicious i guess. Meat was tender and they cooked all these without and oil or marination whatsoever. And the way to eat it was to wrap it in a lettuce and include some bean sauce and some onions and wa la. It definitely complements the beef.!

Next up was the pork! Since it was marinated it had more flavour and the best park about the collar is that it has fat in it as well. So it was like juicy and tasty and simply delightful.

So, overall, the food was great, the ambience was decent. Food was cooked without oil, service was excellent with the guy (sorry didnt get his nam) recommending us the dishes and teaching us the way to eat the stuff. However, this simple meal for 2 cost us like $89. =)
So its a little on the pricey side that leaves me no choice to giv it 4 stars.
But a little korean bbq wun hurt every once in a long while?
Next up is Chang's Korean BBQ!

Some new shops opened in town. At Taka Ted Baker opened another branch at B1 really nice poster.

The highly anticipated Banana Republic is also here at Paragon (beside Raoul)

Not forgetting, Taka's Food Festival from 12 to 22July. Food looks not bad, with a variety of cuisines like korean and jap(see below) so do take a loook

If you ever go to changi v and you wan to try the chicken chop horfun, always remember the stall to the left has my backing. The signboard are similar but this is the one that i endorse. The other one just doesnt taste that good.

ok, next up desert called "hong cha long yen"??? haha red tea longan. Location is also the desert stall on the left with the aunties. This is a desert which has the red tea jelly and longan with milk pour over it. My favourite desert and a must have.

So next time, if you wanna try these 2 wonderful dish, remember, to the left to the left, that will be the right stall. Confusing? =)

totally screwed up the competition. Coming into the finals in 3rd place i couldnt believe how badly i messed up. Sigh, but failure's the mother of all success right? Well thats my consolation. and perhaps dinner with the genting 4 at changi v helped a little. (thanks for coming down by the way)

So, the next big event is woman's birthday on sat and after which, school is starting. sigh?

Ps. we will change to vegas 4 when we actually head over there. =)

The genting 4 (fantastic 4 is taken already) headed out the past 2 days on another holiday-like outing filled with food and taxis. =)

First out we headed over to Marina for the steamboat/bbq, which caused a rift as the seafooders eventually truimphed over the meaters. But that was because i was doing all the peeling, ugh.

"We headed to timbre thereafter"

Next day, we went to cannoe and sorry for the inconveience i've brought. 1st for being late, 2nd for not having one star which started our taxi spree.

Anyway, headed over to Mel's house and her mum cooked the hor fan, which was definitely comparable to any stall out there, which prompted me to ask her mum for some cooking tips.

This will be a delicious post.

Been visiting various places lately and the amount of pictures in my "food" folder is increasing faster than i can even post, so here's a long entry.

First up, Dad's cooking. Yes last sunday he decided to whip up a dish and insisted that i take pictures of them. Looks pretty yummy eh, its homecooked and because so, i shall not rate it. =)

Headed out to a certain camp barracks with woman today and to forget the horrific incident, we went to Pasta Cafe at Taka B1 (Opp Mos Burger). And personally, this is where i like to have my pasta at, a 5 stars establishment to me. =)

ok, so i proceeded to order their signboard dish. Slipper Lobster Fettucine in tomato cream sauce as shown below.

It's definitely one of my fav pasta, the suace is perfecto. The pasta cooked just right but the lobsters could have been bigger. =)

This was what woman ordered, Baked Chicken in M & M ? Cant exactly remember the name clearly and theres no chocolate in this dish, just another great creation.

Cost for the meal was about $40 (remember 10% service charge and 7% GST and Cess and stuff) But theres a lunch time promotion now. Buy a main course and you'll get a free soup of the day and a free drink. So its definitely the time to try it now.

The next stall is this XO fish head noodles in clementi, so sorry that i do not have the exact address as my friend drove us there. But i'll check that out soon.

Another classic winner. The soup was sweet and the XO complimented the soup. Fish was a bit chunky to my liking but forgivable. The picture shows the $15 version. 4 Stars for this dish.
For those planning on takeaway, you have to pay an additional $3 on this thermoflask but its a refundable deposit. =0

Next up is a bit of Western food at hougang. This coffeeshop is located below Hougang Plaza.

This stall supposedly has a reputation for serving above average western food. Looks good definitely the Sizziling Beef Steak. Liked the potatoes which was a sub for fries.
However, the steak was slightly disappointing.

It was not as juicy as some others that i have tried, and do be careful when ordering medium. Because their medium is too close to well done and this was proven as we ordered 2 plates of medium rare. Pricing was also a lil bit expensive at $7. Hence, 3 stars for this decent stall
