Definitely the best ramily i ever had. There was like so much ingrediants, mayo, veg plus all the secret sauces. Damn it was good.


Probably the best thing of the trips. Donuts. We bought like so many boxes, 7 to be exact, that the guy at the shop was like showing the " who on earth eats so many donuts" (homer simpsons does by the way)

And that was all for the trip. Upon returning, we had supper at Lavender food square. And i had like one of the better wontan mee at this stall. It may look ordinary but the noodles, its like perfect. And it comes with this special chilli (no idea hows the taste, not a fan of spicy stuff) A letdown however, lies in the wanton. Only 2 pathetic wantons and they were quite normal. But 4 stars!!

Finally, to conclude. Bangkok rules KL, so just head over to Bangkok if you're thinking of a trip

i mus first apologise for the poor picture quality which definitely does not do justice to the wonderful food. Think i better stop taking pictures with my 3 mega pixel phone and instead switch to an SLR.

Anyway, i'm heading to Malaysia from today till wednesday on my search for even better food. (neh, just going for a holiday) So till Thursday then.

Some of the weirdest things you will see on your way to the bus stop. Notice the 3 cats? They are like living their lives on the edge literally. I have no idea how they got there but they're like 4 levels above ground?








Ok, this is cute i guess? haha

Next up, Samsui Chicken, their Signboard dish. The very first time i saw it, i was thinking to myself, what an expensive plate of chicken rice chicken. But please dun be deceived by the looks of it. Its really good the chicken, especially the sauce in the center. yesssssh the sauce.. haha great great dish. A MUST TRY!

Next, is the begger's bowl tofu. Really smooth, and the sauce is really special. Loved the cute bowl

Desert had a long name. Ok, we had Double Boiled Pear with Snow Fungus and Almonds.

Can't they have a simpler name? But it was sweet and good, well maybe it had too much fungus, but nevertheless sweet and a good way to end off the meal

Service was excellent, the waitress was always refilling our cups and cleared the table efficiently. We even gave the waitress the good service card. Its always good to acknowledge good service. (or could it be due to the lack of customer at that point of time) =x

Pricing was affordable too. A meal for 2 or 3 cost like $50?

ok, today we have the Xiao Long Bao, which in English is "Xiao Long Bao" (imagine the chinese waiter saying it in an chinese slang) which he did actually, to our dear friends from down under. Anyway, yes, this is the xiao long bao that i swear by , even though mr tay claims that there are those at bukit i dunno where, but till i have them, the Ding Tai Feng's one will suffice. (Remember to put the whole thing in your mouth before taking a bite) this will only all the juice, to explode in your mouth. But but do so after letting it cool for bout 5 mins. =)

Anyway, do try their fried rice too. (This one is with the fried pork chop) the only one without the healthy food sign as my friend pointed out. But nevertheless, their fried rice is quite unique. The rice is definitely different from the common rice, its a big bigger and more bouncy so as to speak.

Yea, sadly though, the variety is superlimited and having eaten there like ten times, it's kinda get boring. But 4 stars nonetheless

ok, beach road's LOR mee is up today .

A delicious bowl of lor mee is served, with loads of ingrediants and a sinfully good sauce.

The lor mee was actually really really good. The sauce was tangy and smooth, and the variety of ingrediants like fish, yam, wanton egg was a good mix.

So you can see how much i liked it. 4 stars for this but this still came up a little short compared to the one at upper circular road. =)

Ok, i mus so apologise for the short entries. Think i have too many entries but so little time. So i shall stop here today. Last dish would be the indonesian bbq at PS foodcourt. Looks really good right. Personally i found it pretty nice, the skin of the chicken was crispy the meat tender. The only complain was that the sauce was a tinge salty. Pricing wise, its $4.30 up from the $3.80 when i last ate it. Plus theres no veg in this dish, you have to pay an addition $0.50 for the veg.
Overall i give it 3 and a half stars!

Next up is the roasted duck rice at kovan hawker center! this is my 2nd fav duck rice thus far, the meat is sweet and real tasty. Really affordable too. However, the char siew is pretty average . 3 and a half stars!

Pumpfest was at vivocity last weekend in case you didnt notice the commotion on the 3rd floor of the shopping complex. And i have managed to take this opportunity to sample some of the newer stalls in vivo.

So, on the last day, we went down to this shop called Kolo Mee. (well that's what i remembered ) at Basement 1. You cant miss it if you're taking a train to vivo.

Ok, so whats kolo mee? well to me it actually looks so much like instant mee with wanton mee's ingredient. It comes with wantons, prawn, char siew. (Abalone slices too if you are willing to pay the difference)

Looks pretty much decent, but the food, it's all right. Taste was average with a very bad "msg" aftertaste. yea, they probably put an overdose of it. Pricing wise, i thought that it was ok for a shop in vivo. A bowl cost bout $5. ($8 for abalone)

This is a stall which i think is a "one hit wonder" due to the lack of variety in their menu. As you can see, that's all in the menu, with one being vegetables, the other being the curry version, cant remember the rest though

so 3 stars? i think i should invent the 1/2 star format now.

ok, loads of update so little time. this was on sat, where we headed out to try this new stall at kovan.
Think i shouldnt beat around the bush.
Service is slow, food is so "Msgish"
crabs look great but taste bad. Bu it was cheap though. 3 for $14
But why even pay for bad food.
2 Stars. period.

Headed over to Sentosa on thursday with the guys. But the important thing was that we drove down to the army market at beach road and afterwhich, had our lunch!




Fried Kway Tiao! Yes, the famous "healthy" fried kway tiao (how healthy can it really get) with ikan bilis and loads of green vegetables! Definitely a must have if you ever come here. The unique combination of ikan bilis is actually not that bad. However, one minus point bout it is the value for money. As you can see the portion isnt that much and that is already the $4 version of this dish. But nevertheless a great dish worth 4 stars!



As i was leaving, i saw a que forming from a stall.












Belgian Chocolate fondue! yes, fondue in a hawker center. However didnt manage to have a taste of it , due to the lack of time. Looks good though, the thought of chocolate on waffles and fruits and gelato ice cream. Perfect desert!
