NTU Convocation 2008.
Was 'volunteered' to help out in some of the ushering for today's event and it wasnt that bad of an experience as i thought. Seeing all the fresh grads made me for geared up for the next semester and i wanna be at this event too in 3 years time.
President was there today, and a certain minister, whom i do not know the name sadly. Quite a grand event i guess but there was something else that was good bout it.
Well the other thing good is the food!! Ushers get to eat at the VIP food line. woohoo
now i know which caterer i want for my birthday. hohoho

If you still do not know. Miss Venezuela has been crowned Miss Universe 2008.
But the funny thing is how do you judge the contestants from let's say, the swimsuit category.
All of them look great, have you seen the abs on Miss Columbia? But other than her, how come some can get a 7.3 when others can get a 9.4 in like 10 seconds?
But the thing is that don't you feel like the competition is always rigged.
The host nation always qualifies to the second round at least, which in this case is Vietnam. and the usual flock of countries are always there.
Oh well. at least they had a great song for the swimsuit category, but hideous dancing by the contestants!!

Aston's Express
Tucked away in a coffeshop in Serangoon Gardens, is the branch from the original at upper east coast. i finally had the opportunity to try it with beloved woman before she left for australia.
Sadly though, it was really not up to expectations. The fish was decent enough, though i think the stall at the NIE canteen would give it a good fight.
The steak was really just bad. Had this weird taste to it, and it was a bad experience overall.
Think you should just stick to the orignal. Sigh

Boanopstekker
The primary 4 kids were having dance lessons for PE today.
The dance is called Boanopstekker, which is a Dutch dance.
When asked what flower was Holland famous for? guess what was the answer that they gave,
The Holland Flower.
Anyway, take a look at the video. When we initially showed them the video on the dance, the 3 boys in the first video were screaming that it was lame.
But look at them now... haha

The adorable ones.
This kid told me a joke.
cute kid: Teacher, why did tigger put his head into the toilet bowl?
me: why?
cute kid: because he was looking for pooh.
They were acting out a scene from captain buckwash, this cartoon and they made their props and stuff. Really really nice for primary 4 students to do these kind of stuff. I don't even remember doing anything this fun during my primary school days. Oh well.
