Hello school.
First day of Hougang Primary. The kids are so adorable, unlike the kids that i will see at monfort next week i think. The school is really cool i tell you, with outdoor adventure education as its niche, the kids have been up to mount kinabalu and dunno what other mountains, when even i have not.
In addition, high elements course such as the flying fox and rockwall facilities are available in the school.
Machines used for maths calculations. Inspired from the DDR no doubt.
It's going to be a fruitful one week. I can feel it.

The Paradox of Love
This post is about some random thoughts which crossed my mind at 3.22am.
I will not call myself an expert or anything, but having just experienced the sadness that 2 of my friends had about their relationships, it has got me thinking.
When two people are in love, actions become irrational. You would start doing things that you would not normally do. Sacrifices have been made all for the sake of love. You would do anything to see your partner happy, or am I wrong?
Another question for ponder, where is the fine line which differentiates being in love and being used to someone because you have been with him/her for a long time?
My stand is a simple, as long as she is happy, it's all worth it.
Any love gurus around to provide some answers?

The KL trip
It was hastily planned and was about 2 days after i had returned from the Philippines. Essentially, the aim was to climb and have good food and i guess the aims were met.
Firstly, as introduced by dear qilin, THE SHIP steakhouse.
Reasonably priced (astons pricing) and yet delightful on the tastebuds!

French onion soup was rich and tasty.

I have no idea how these tasted. Hate oysters

 Grilled Chicken Chop
This is the prawn and steak combo

Minute Steak
 Steak with oysters in it
Spag! with steak sauce! Unique and taasty!

To ask for your desert or bill, you just have to press a button.

 u-hu-hu-hu-hu cheesecakes!

This is one disappointment. KL street food is definitely not as good as our hawker food. It was expensive, tasteless and repetitive.

Someone should really bring this back to singapore!
A&W !

The Malaysian version of Kenny Rogers, Nando, Nando!

Finally, the wall.

To my team of 13 wonderful people.
It was really really really really sweet.
Having a cupcake that was baked by you guys was sweet.
The additional initials of our names made it even sweeter.
The card was just amazing.
Learnt so much from each and everyone of you during this trip and I really hope that I was up to your expectations and had managed to ensure that all of you had a great time.
I don't really express much i realised, BUT that does not means i'm void of feelings ok?
It was really such a moving gesture. You have no idea how much this means to me.
Thanks once again TEAM Affinity. Even though you might not actually read this post, but Thank you for everything!

Aloha Philippines.
Sorry this took a little long, but after this trip i was in KL too. Henceforth the delay.
Many have asked how was this trip of my, and i have always found it difficult to describe it fully.
Well this is basically what happened.
Day 1 Departure
And we finally met them, with both parties surprised at how each other looked like.
The school that we worked with. Played some cultural games with them and conducted a mask workshop!
   Don't they look happy?
The next day, Educator's Congress 08.

Gawad Kalinga (www.gawadkalinga.com)
The highlight of the trip. We didnt really contributed much to the building of the houses sadly, but the people there definitely touched our lives.
At the incomplete building site with the George Town University students that we met.
 The finished product
Visited a viillage that was completed and we were in awe.
What was even more touching, were the people and the kids. We really ought to be thankful for our lives in Singapore and complain less, where other people in the world are living such a drastic difference in the living conditions and environment.
  Cultural Exchange Day
We were also joined by Profs from Troy University

The end.
Well i did left out most of the details, but after reflecting through, I can safely say that it was definitely a life changing experience for each and everyone who was there with me.
Go team affinity!
